Ingredients
French Beans - 3 cups, chopped
Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 2 cloves, chopped
Curry leaves - sprig
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Green chillies - 2, chopped
Red chillie powder - 1 tsp (optional)
Fresh grated coconut - 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Oil - 1 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a wide skillet, add seasoning of cumin seeds, urad dal, garlic and curry leaves
- Add chopped onion, saute until soft
- Add chopped beans, turmeric, salt, green chillies. Let fry for 3 minutes, cover and cook until beans turn soft
- Stir in red chillie powder and fresh grated coconut
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves
